      @@simonhahnel8092 The weather here has been very strange this winter. VERY windy and rather dry. No snow for us this year😢which will mean less moisture in the soil. We do get most of our rain from June to September during hurricane season, but even that was less than normal last year. @ my age (73) and with limited mobility, I have gone to container gardening and that has been quite a learning curve. I have learned that you have to feed and water the plants much more frequently. Last summer was a very poor yield until I figured that out. I prefer to grow in-ground gardens but you do what you can. You have a very unique set up for your gardens, would love to see their progress. Good luck finding a new project. You're so industrious so it shouldn't be much of a problem. Take care and hope to see more video soon, blessings always, g.

    • @simonhahnel8092

      It is clogged up. But with the constant water flow and the pond now being full of lilies and the biofilter full of vegetation the water is always crystal clear. Except when I wade in and pull out excess weeds and clean the pump filters. Amazing how quickly that even clears up.

    I don’t understand your skimmer, you feed your skimmer from below, but covered from the rocks from really skimming. I still recommend you add a longer shelf for the flow from the bog to create air in the water when it spills in. If the fountain is off they need the extra air in the water when it’s really hot.

    • @simonhahnel8092
      @simonhahnel8092 4 месяца назад

      There is no Skimmer. All the leaves fall to the bottom and feed the lilies. I think an additional aerator might be the solution to keep the fish safe.

  • @Sea-cucumber1151

    Can you put a Little Rock ledge so the water has to crash down making air bubbles vs just flowing down and in from the bog into the pond.

    Put a solar air bubbler in as well, in case the electrify goes out, they are nice back ups for oxygen and movement in case that happens. No fish death or stagnant water. They are pretty cheap.

    Should have a higher snorkel clean out pipe, clearing out rocks, plants etc to get to it would be a pain. You can paint it black if necessary. I put a fake Lilly green pad around it, then an upside down brown clay pot at the rock level with a frog glued to it.! 😂🐸 didn’t have to but if you need to dig through your rocks or whatever to clean out you may have some drop in and clog it. So much easier with a higher “snorkel” you can get to. You can still add a sleeve then add an extra higher pvc then a screw on cap. I just add the other thing to hide it. I see you added your skimmer to it, pretty cool. If you ever need to add a snorkel to one of the other ends you have, or put an elbow in for your skimmer with the straight part going down to the bog pipes. Pretty cool design! Love it!

    I bought a 85L Glacio for my campervan. Ive had it for over 2 years, and its run terribly. I almost bought the 90L with separate freezer door. Turns out its only one setting - all frige or all freezer. Mine runs ok in winter, but it cant cope in summer and the milk curdles and food doesnt last. I have 600AH of lithium battery , and on average the fridge cycles every 20 minutes and wears down upto 1/3 of my bank per day which is pretty poor. It uses a whopping 7.5 A ( 7.5A x 24hrs = 180AH) plus inefficiency due to weather is closer to 10A. I bought mine online and absolutely nowhere do they mention the amp rating...because they are embarrassed by it. Even a Kings 110L fridge uses 1'5 - 2 amps. Thats a huge difference. They werent selling those at the time i bought the Glacio.There weren't even any reviews around at the time. I read a recent one where they called it an energy hog. It may work fine in the shade of your shed, but try taking it camping for some true results. Im sure you will be as disappointed as i am.!! Anyway i wont be buying another....now looking to replace it with a Dometic or whatever fits the space with low amps Cheers
